| To Whom It May Concern: While I was loking to purchase a vacation home in the Florida Keys a friend suggested that I contact a neighbor of his that knew the Islamorada real estate market well, Realtor Jim Larson. I phoned Jim and he immediately emailed me information on the market in general and some photos of homes listed for sale. A short time later my son and I took a couple of days to visit The Keys. Jim met with us and after a brief explanation of the area home buying process; he explored our wants and needs and showed us a few homes that met our criteria. We were under a time constraint and were impressed that he listened will and did not take us on an endless journey of house hunting. We were referred to Jim Larson at Keller Williams Realty by a close friend in Key Largo, FL. in May of 2009. We are located in Michigan but Jim went right to work for us. We discussed our likes and dislikes and Jim began to develop a sensational sense of what we were looking for.
Jim sent us countless listings and researched Condominiums for us over the next several months, finally narrowing the search to a manageable number of properties. We traveled to Key Largo and met up with Jim on November 7, 2008 and spent the next two days visiting the properties that we had jointly selected and a few surprises. We had a great experience and Jim was the true professional and helped in every way. Unfortunately we just didn’t land on the right property and price for us.
We dropped down to Key West for a vacation but it was cut short by a call from Jim. He had managed to find just the right property at a price we could live with. We rented a car and raced back up to Key Largo. We spent most of the day at the property, looking, learning and figuring. Jim was most helpful as we labored with our decision. We finally decided that it wasn’t quite right after all. Jim hung right in there and agreed that this was probably not the best fit we could find. He went right back to work looking for other properties. We, unfortunately, had to head back to Michigan.
We came back down to Key Largo on December 11, 2009 to pick up where we left off. We visited a couple of properties, then Jim took us to one which he had “hand selected” for us. We spent about 30 seconds in the unit, until we knew it was the one for us, and suggested that we head back to the Office and write an offer. Jim had gotten to know us so well that he had already prepared most of the paperwork before we arrived. We inked the offer on December 11, 2009 then closed and took possession on December 30, 2009.
We have Jim to thank for finding us our dream home and we highly recommend him to anyone looking for a Condominium in the Upper Keys.
